This app is NOT affiliated with or endorsed by the company of the default search app. It is a violation of the Play Store policy to mention the names of the company or the app, but I guess you would know what I explain.
The default search assistant is updated to show the new conversation screen instead of the search & information screen when you long-press the home button. The default search assistant app does not give us an option to get the old search & information screen when long-pressing the home button. Users have suggested changing the system locale to some weird places like U.S. Virgin Islands, but doing so may affect other apps.
What this app does is very simple: it just launches the old search & information screen you are familiar with. You need to set this app as the default search assistant. Then, if you long-press the home button, this app gets launched. As soon as it is launched, it launches the search & information and exits.
